Where Do I Teach?
Mandy Miklos has over eight years of classical voice training and is currently pursuing a master’s in vocal performance at DePaul University. She has taught music in public school and private lesson settings. Having taught choir, piano, and guitar courses, as well as one-on-one private voice students, she has experience working with students of various ages, skill levels, and learning styles. She also actively performs with organizations such as Opera Aeterna, Chicago Summer Opera, and Opera Festival of Chicago. Amanda has recently sung the opera roles of, Musetta (La Bohème), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), and Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro). She earned her Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance at Belmont University, where she performed the roles of Maguelonne in Viardot’s Cendrillion, and Gigi from Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow, as well as various scenes from Don Giovanni, Little Women, Amelia Goes to the Ball, Così fan tutte, La finta giardiniera, Orfeo ed Euridice, and Suor Angelica. In addition to operatic singing, Mandy enjoys contemporary styles and can accompany herself on guitar. Her classical training allows her to sing healthily across genres, and her goal is to help her students achieve the same.
