Where Do I Teach?
Lauren is a musical theatre artist originally from Michigan, and is currently earning her BFA in musical theatre at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She has been professionally singing and studying voice for 12 years, learning various vocal techniques, styles of singing, and acquiring perfect pitch. She is currently studying under Lindsay Cummings at Roosevelt University, and Cassi Mikat at The Voice Collective. She has used her training to compose a parody of We Are Young by Fun for her freshman showcase, and for a music video project at Roosevelt.
Lauren has been performing on the stage since she was 9. Her recent roles at Roosevelt University include Irina Prozorov u/s in Three Sisters, Wickersham Brother u/s in Suessical, and has also played Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5. Lauren has years of professional piano and dance classes, and continues to do so in the city. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, video editing, crafting, and spending time with friends/family.
Lauren wants her students to feel excited and open-minded when singing and learning music. She believes in her years of learning that creativeness, technique, vocal health, and confidence will help build a strong, thriving voice.

What made it so captivating is that Billie was able to take her music from personal creation, to then not just perform on a stage, but bring a meaningful story to her audience.
