Your Child's Future Starts at Home!

Brooke Schrager is the Founder and CEO of Lessons By Brooke & Company. A music educator for more than 15 years, she is passionate about creating a studio where students receive personalized instruction, instructors feel supported, and families experience a genuine sense of community.

Brooke earned her degree in Music Education with a certificate in Vocal Performance from Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University) in Elmhurst, Illinois. Her training encompassed classical music, musical theatre, jazz, and contemporary styles under the guidance of Gayle Bisesi, Jeff Deutsch, Jen Mather, Susan Moninger, Donna Peterson-Tallman, and Mark Streder.

She began her teaching career in 2010 at Suburban Music in Wheaton, Illinois, where she taught private piano, voice, and voice-acting lessons. In 2014, she brought that experience into the public-school classroom, teaching seventh- and eighth-grade chorus and general music at Keller Junior High School in Hoffman Estates.

Brooke founded Lessons By Brooke & Company in January 2016 with a vision for a more personalized, supportive approach to music education. What began as a one-teacher studio has grown into a thriving community of more than 25 instructors and over 300 students. As LBB&C continues to grow, Brooke is building an administrative leadership team dedicated to supporting instructors, strengthening the family experience, and preserving the personal connection that has defined the studio from the beginning.

In 2022, Brooke co-founded Cadence Music NFP and currently serves as its Treasurer. The nonprofit helps make high-quality music education more accessible by providing scholarships for private music lessons to students experiencing financial need.

Through Lessons By Brooke & Company and Cadence Music NFP, Brooke is committed to creating opportunities for educators to thrive, families to feel supported, and students to build confidence, develop their talents, and experience the lifelong joy of music.

“My favorite piece to perform is ‘You Were Meant for Me’ by Jewel. I have listened to and loved this song since I was a little girl and I actually sing it as a warm up before every single audition or performance! It is calming and the lyrics really paint the picture of the story.”
