Where Do I Teach?
Bianca is a passionate collegiate advocate in the Music Education community, serving as Vice President of Elmhurst University’s Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) collegiate chapter, being a member of her campus’ Aspiring Educators group under the Illinois Education Association (IEA), and interning every summer at Smith Walbridge Clinics, a marching arts camp. She served as the Woodwind Instructor for the Leyden Marching Eagles in Northlake, IL for their 2025 marching band season. Bianca is also a Golden Apple Scholar, for which she teaches every summer in classrooms across Illinois and commits her future teaching endeavors in schools-of-need.
In her free time, Bianca likes to shop vintage items, thrift clothing, and watch Gilmore Girls. Her comfort food is the Filipino dish sinigang and enjoys spending time with her shih tzu dog, Mochi!
“My favorite concert I’ve ever been to was Laufey’s “A Matter of Time Tour” at the United Center in downtown Chicago. It was truly beautiful to resonate with another woman of color that combines classical, jazz, and pop in her own music through both instrumental and vocal performance. Not only is she a thoughtful and genuine musician, but she spread positivity and love to her audience. That, I believe, is my personal mission as a musician.”
