Beryl Rosenblum is a composer and an award-winning classically trained pianist with more than 20 years of experience. Born in Hong Kong, Beryl moved to Montclair, New Jersey as a child, where from the age of six she studied classical piano with Dr. Thomas Parente. She majored in French Language and Literature at Skidmore College and completed a minor in Piano Performance as a four-year Filene Scholar. She has participated in several international piano and chamber music festivals around the world, including ones in Belgium and Italy. She lived in Paris, France between the years of 2017 and 2019, where she studied film scoring, piano performance, solfege, and harmonic analysis at the Ecole Normale de Musique. In addition to her love of music, she is also passionate about traveling and dogs! Beryl is currently a graduate student at Columbia College Chicago, where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in film scoring.
Beryl’s teaching philosophy is rooted in structure and fun! She believes setting goals both small and large is a key component of the learning process. Every person learns differently, and therefore no two lessons ever look quite the same! Her first and highest priority is facilitating fun and sharing the joy of music with others.
