Bela Karwatowicz

Bela is a born and raised Chicagoan. She first received the acting bug when she was three years old and  would go to watch her mom's rehearsals for a community theatre production of Bye Bye Birdie.  When she was five years old, Bela auditioned for her first musical, Annie. She was offered the role of Molly, however she turned it down because she "only wanted to be Annie."  

Since then, Bela has redeemed herself by working on good showmanship skills and appreciating every opportunity to improve her craft.

Today, Bela continues to perform, having recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at Millikin University for Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance in the spring of 2019.  Recently, she has worked for various musical theatre venues such as Music Theatre Works, Williams Street Repertory and Metropolis Performing Arts. Bela teaches through the eyes of a performer and hopes for each of her students to find their power as a compelling story teller. 

Though the pandemic has put the entertainment business to a halt, that hasn’t stopped Bela from staying busy! Currently she spends her time balancing multiple passions, nannying for a family in Glenview on the weekdays and teaching Pure Barre on the weekends. You can also occasionally catch Bela hanging out with her favorite princess friends with Princess Party Chicago. Outside of her career, Bela’s favorite pastime is taking naps and playing with her puppy Dax.
