Andrew Moreno

Andrew Moreno is a double and electric bassist, pianist and guitarist who recently graduated from Elmhurst University with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Studies. He was born in Chicago and raised in the suburb of Oak Lawn, where he currently resides. Andrew is a forward thinking and dedicated individual who wholeheartedly devotes himself to bettering not only his own abilities, but also those of his students and peers. 

Beginning his musical journey as a hobby, Andrew has turned what was once a simple interest into an unwavering passion for the musical arts. Andrew’s favorite part about teaching is helping his students make their own connections to music and the lesson material. Instead of spoon feeding every bit of the lesson material to the student, Andrew gives them just enough to work with while they make their own unique musical realizations. Moreno is currently teaching and performing throughout the Chicagoland area in genres ranging from jazz to classical and more. Interests beyond music include philosophy, biking, yoga, and comedy.
